I woke up this morning with devout thanksgiving for my life…for its ins and outs, twist and turns, and peaks and valleys. Why, because each person and every experience in my life has played an integral part of shaping who I am. And what better time of year to take the time to let everyone, who means something to me, know exactly how I feel.
So, here it is…
I give enormous thanks to God for my entire life as a blessing. I view life as an incredible gift from God and one in which allows us to lift our thoughts above the patterns of this world – beyond the appearance of lack, limitation, dis-ease, and dis-harmony and to master the power of creativity and Divine expression. To be alive is a magnificent gift. I love my life. I love being alive. I am so grateful for this gift of my life. Thank you, God!
I especially want to give thanks to my son. I am so grateful for the gift of your love, believing eyes, trusting heart, belly laughs, immense creativity and encouragement. I love you deeply and am so grateful that you chose me to be your mother. You are my inspiration and make every day a perfect day for me.
I am equally and immensely grateful beyond measure for my dearly departed mother and grandmother. The positive impact you’ve both made on my life is eternal. You loved me unconditionally and instilled courage, strength, self-respect, grace and so much more in me. I can feel the strength of your souls fortifying me each and every day and for this I am so grateful.
I also give thanks to my personal friends. You know who you are. You get me and that’s pretty amazing! Thank you for not judging me and not keeping score, for your loyalty, nurturing and respect. I don’t know what I would do without you.
I would also like to give thanks to my global family for the gift of kindness and support. This extended family, which includes You…my clients, blog community, newsletter subscribers, social media connections, and JV co-creators, your creativity and energy feeds my soul to the fullest every day. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
I am also especially grateful for those who pushed my buttons, ruffled my feathers, angered and frustrated me, as you have been my greatest teachers. Your aggravations have made me go inward and clear debris from my past so I no longer carry a charge toward the things you set up. So thank you for helping me evolve.
I am additional grateful that I can turn all of the outter world off whenever I want to and tune into sweet silence. Being able to tune-in and tune-out of the world as I choose reminds me of just how empowered I am by my own choices every moment of the day. I am grateful to be a co-creator and architect of my life. Oh my goodness… I’d better stop or this list will never end.=)
Now, I’d like to leave you with one of my all-time favorite Thanksgiving traditions…
Whether you are attending Thanksgiving dinner away or hosting it yourself, take a moment to think independently of each guest whom will be attendance and reflect upon how they have positively impacted your life. Then, on Thanksgiving day, right before dinner is served, gather around the table in a moment of contemplative prayer and lead by naming a couple of things about each person for which you are grateful. Then, invite each dinner guest to do the same. You will be amazed with the level of vibrational energy that is generated and held in the moment. What a beautiful and expanded experience you will create and a wonderful gift to give and receive.
Happy Giving Thanks Day,
